Twitch’s most watched streamer last year, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel is now a free agent, as he recently bid farewell to Luminosity Gaming, an organization which signed him on October 2020. Fans were quite shocked with this abrupt announcement, which was shared both by the streamer as well as the organization, on Twitter.
Luminosity Gaming, a professional eSports organization based in North America, shared a heartfelt message on Twitter through a video, as a token of gratitude to the streamer. While Twitter saw several reactions from fans, Twitch users also couldn’t resist themselves from asking the reason for this sudden exit.
xQc addressed this question by explaining that his contract was up. He also made it clear that nothing will change even if he has become a free agent now. “I think it was a one year contract and it was just up,” he added. The Canadian streamer continued to say that he has certain projects and aspirations that didn’t match with that of the organization, so he chose not to renew his contract.
The content creator also described that the contract ended on mutual terms, as he respects all the people working there. xQc concluded by saying that he wishes best to all the people working for Luminosity Gaming, as they’re quite motivated.

After leaving competitive Overwatch, xQc decided to become a full time streamer for Twitch and he has never looked back since. Although he has been banned on the platform multiple times either for cheating or homophobic slurs, his viewership stats remain high every year. He joined Sentinels but left the organization to join Luminosity Gaming on October 2020.
Felix Lengyel has been an active content creator for Luminosity Gaming but his project differences, compelled him to part ways with the organization. Since he is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, fans have been wondering whether he has already planned to join an organization or not.
xQc has stated that he wishes to figure out himself, about the things that he needs to do right now. This probably implies that he is unlikely to join a new organization at this moment. However, the situation might change in near future.
